Tuition fee changes
How much is the tuition fee increasing?
The tuition fee is changing from £9,535 to £9,790* per year, which is an additional £255 per year.
Will I need to reapply for my student loan for the new amount?
You will need to check that you have re-applied for your student loan for the new tuition fee amount. If you have already specified that your tuition fee will be £9,535 on your 26/27 application, then you can make changes to your existing application without having to re-apply.
*Please note, this fee is subject to parliamentary procedure and will also be subject to a compounded annual inflationary increase. It is expected to be confirmed in early 2026 and may change in future years of study.
What if I can’t afford it?
If you get into difficulty paying your fees, please contact the Income Section as soon as possible. You can call them on 0116 207 8810 or email them at income@dmu.ac.uk.
