1. What is the current situation in the region?

There are heightened regional tensions involving neighbouring countries. While Dubai and the wider UAE remain operational, the situation is evolving. Authorities continue to monitor developments closely and maintain security and public safety measures.

2. What is being done to keep residents in Dubai safe?

The UAE maintains strong security infrastructure and continues to prioritise the safety of residents and visitors. As with any developing regional situation, individuals are advised to remain informed, stay at home where recommended by local authorities, and follow official guidance issued by both local authorities and their home country governments.

3. Is the university operating as normal?

Following the latest guidance from the authorities, 久久精品 Dubai is preparing to welcome students back to face-to-face teaching on campus from Monday, 27 April 2026.

We know many of you have been looking forward to returning to campus, reconnecting with classmates, and getting back to the in-person university experience. For students who are unable to return immediately, hybrid learning options will continue to be available where possible, with further details to be shared soon.

As we welcome our community back, measures remain in place to support the wellbeing of students and staff. Important safety information will be shared with students ahead of their return.

If there are any changes, we will keep you updated. Please continue to check your university email regularly for the latest information.

4. Is it safe to travel outside the UAE right now?

There are a number of commercial options available. However, check for the latest updates from your airline or tour operator, as well as the instructions from local authorities, and the status of any border crossings before you travel. If you are traveling by air do not travel to the airport unless your airline has confirmed your reservation.

Make sure you have access to emergency supplies and essential medication. Travel within or out of UAE is at your own risk. Keep your departure plans under review and ensure your travel documents are up to date, including any visas required for onward travel.

5. What should I do if I am currently in Dubai?

Students and staff should:

  • Monitor official updates from UAE authorities
  • Follow instructions issued through emergency alert systems if activated
  • Stay in secure locations if advised to do so
  • Keep family informed of their wellbeing

We have also put together an Emergency Safety Protocol for what to do if you receive an MOI alert while on campus. Please read and familiarise yourself with this.
